Cowtribe has launched a new program promote capacity building of field veterinarians in Ghana. The program dubbed, the Vet Practice Advisory Network, is the first of it’s kind in Ghana and will serve as a national practice network to support and promote the capacity development of veterinary technicians across the country.
The network was launched after a one-week Training of Trainers for 12 selected veterinary technicians from the Northern, Upper East and West regions. Participants of the training were taken through TOT topics including training design, experiential learning cycle, inclusive business, and technology in animal health. After the TOT, the trained participants are expected go on to replicate these trainings across other veterinarians in regions in the country.
The training led by a team of consultants and trainers from MDF West Africa with grants support from NUFFIC to strengthen and in partnership with the Veterinary Department of MOFA.
